Volunteer I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. --Mahatma Gandhi It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. Without you we would not be able to supply the hospitals we serve with our beautiful handmade items. Nurses in the hospitals we support give these special items to parents who have lost a baby. They do this as part of their bereavement care. These items are cherished as one of the few keepsakes parents have of their baby. We appreciate the time and love it takes to make these handmade baby items. They mean so much and show the parents messages of validation and support sent by those who made them. We have many many jobs to be done. Our jobs range from crocheting, knitting, sewing, beading, ribboning for our print cards, making forget-me-not seed packets, making playdough for our 3-D molds and making support ribbons. *We have a job to suit any person willing--you do not need to be crafty or artistic!* Please contact us via our e-mail (see contact us) if you wish to volunteer, have any questions, comments or input. If you know of anyone who is interested in volunteering or donating please feel free to pass our names along. April 2007: We are pleased to announce our new 'Crafting Nights' for volunteering!
