Dear Families: your baby’s individual memory packet was lovingly assembled by many volunteers; nursing volunteers; individual patient volunteers—patients who themselves have lost babies, and individual volunteers out in the community who care…
Your personal early pregnancy loss packet is supported fully from our non-profit, 501(c)3, tax-exempt, charitable organization founded to honor baby's just like yours. "Cailin's Memories, Inc." was founded for the sole purpose of validating babies who are lost in pregnancy, birth, and as infants. We accomplish this by: 1 Validating your baby's precious life with Cailin's Memory Box Project & with Cailin's Early Pregnancy Loss Packet; 2 Educating the hospital staff on how to properly care for your baby & family; and 3 Raising Advocacy & Awareness in the community.
We have included Cailin's Early Pregnancy Loss Packets some very important items: 1 Pregnancy & Infant Loss (PAILS) Awareness pin; 1 remembrance candle, and 1 packet of forget-me-not flower seeds.
Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness month is every October, with October 15th being the specific day of awareness. In many states there are ceremonies-we are working toward having some local to Albany. For more information go to
www.october15th.com --and please feel free to wear your pin year around like many bereaved families do and many of our own AMC staff to help raise awareness of this tragedy. In December of every year The Compassionate Friends (a worldwide support group for loss of children at any ages) hosts the "Worldwide Candle Lighting". This amazing ceremony includes the whole world! For a full 24 hours candles are lit around the world in remembrance of all children lost. We encourage you to use the strong symbol of candle lighting to remember your baby/babies. You & your family can only receive so much support while in the hospital for this short time; our organization will be here for your long term needs. Your Baby's Memory Box, called 'Cailin's Memory Box Project', is supported almost fully from a non-profit, 501(c)3, tax-exempt, charitable organization founded to honor baby's just like yours. Our organization, called "Cailin's Memories, Inc." was founded for the sole purpose of validating babies who are lost pregnancy, birth, and as infants. We accomplish this by: 1 Validating your baby's precious life with Cailin's Memory Box Project & with Cailin's Early Pregnancy Loss Packet; 2 Educating the hospital staff on how to properly care for your baby & family; and 3 Raising Advocacy & Awareness in the community.
Included in your memory box will be many items…
~an angel bear, because every baby needs a teddy.
~a beautiful handmade outfit and matching blanket.
~molds of your babies feet and/or hands (if possible); these include impression molds, and 3-d molds. Both of these items may be painted at a later date if you wish-making sure you use arts and crafts materials.
~a Certificate of Life celebrating your babies life and existence.
~a sympathy card offering the condolences of the staff from your hospital.
~4 matching scrapbooking cards. These may have feet, hand, and/or ear prints on them; they may have your baby’s tape measure, or ID bands affixed; they may have your baby’s pictures affixed; or they may be left blank for you to decorate as you wish with your babies memories.
~remembrance packet: which includes – a bag for your babies lock of hair (if possible), a remembrance candle to light, a support pin for you to wear, a packet of forget-me-not seeds for you to plant in honor of your baby/babies, and lastly a set of baby/mom/dad bracelets. *Please tell us if you need more for grandparents, siblings, friends, etc. and we will send them to you if your hospital was not able to supply.
~a bereavement packet; this includes information for you and your family on grief and bereavement; support group information; and information which may fit your specific situation.
~also included in your box will be pictures. We always try to take the most beautiful pictures of you and your baby, but please tell us if there is something special you would like done…
